The term labiaplasty refers to a procedure that reduces the length of the labia minora. It is the most commonly performed vaginal rejuvenation procedure and it can relieve symptoms women experience from twisting and tugging of the labia.
The goal of the procedure is to reduce the labia minora so that they don't hang below the hair-bearing labia majora. A labiaplasty may be performed to reduce asymmetry when one is longer than the other, or, more commonly, to reduce the length of both labia so that the labia no longer twist, tug or fall out of a bathing suit.
The cost of a labiaplasty depends on various conditions like Surgeon’s Fee, Anesthetist fees, Medicines/consumables during surgery, Hospital facility & stay, Technology used, Immediate post-operative follow-ups given to patient. You will receive a personalised quote after your consultation with a surgeon. So if you're considering labiaplasty, it's worth talking to your doctor.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
What is CO 2 laser labiaplasty ?
Labiaplasty surgery can be performed in many ways.
Advances in technology have made it possible to incorporate lasers into surgical procedures, at CLÍNICA BUENAVISTA we perform labiaplasty with CO 2 laser because we have verified that it is the technique that offers the most satisfactory and natural results.
The CO 2 laser is a device that allows us to coagulate and cut the excess hypertrophic part of the labia minora at the same time, without damaging the collateral tissue. Only with the CO 2 laser we can perform the entire surgery.
Traditionally it was done with a cold scalpel (the normal scalpel, which is used to cut) and an electric scalpel (to coagulate where there was bleeding).
What are the advantages of CO 2 Laser Labiaplasty ?
It has many advantages over a conventional labiaplasty.
The first, and most important, is that it reduces the risk of bleeding by being able to cut and clot at the same time, and it also reduces the collateral damage that can occur with other methods. The labia minora have many blood vessels, so when doing the surgery in a conventional way the bleeding is usually greater, with the laser we avoid this bleeding and also:
Why do we perform Labiaplasty under general anesthesia?
The direct application of local anesthetics on the lips deforms the area, and can cause severe pain.
With general anesthesia pain is avoided and we achieve a more precise surgery.
Can labiaplasty alter the sensitivity of that area?
No, the main nerves of the external genitalia are found deeper, not along the edge of the labia minora, which is where the incision is made. In addition, it does not affect the clitoris or sensitive areas.
What risks or complications does a Labiaplasty have?
It is a minor surgery, the risks are minimal and common to any minor intervention such as infections, inflammation of the area and heavy postoperative bleeding (usually less than a rule).
As in any surgical intervention, it is necessary to sign an informed consent once the explanations have been understood in clear and simple language.
When can you have sex?
It is recommended to avoid manipulation of the area and abstain from vaginal intercourse for 3 or 4 weeks after the intervention.
Incorporation into work and social life can usually be done after 3-5 days (relative rest these days).
Most frequent reasons to perform a Labiaplasty?
By necessity: accidents, injuries, discomfort caused by hypertrophy of the labia minora, difficulties in hygiene ...
For aesthetics: aging, dissatisfaction with the appearance of external genitalia ...
Some asymmetry in Vulvar lips is normal, as it happens with other parts of the body such as the breasts, different is when one of the lips has an exaggerated size, correcting it with surgery will depend on the physical or aesthetic discomfort that it produces.
